Registration is is in full swing.  You may complete anapplication and leave it with the administration so that your childrenmay be put on the waiting list.

Any parent that volunteers to teach will receive a50% reduction in fees for the household.

Students must bring pencils, paper, and a 3-ringzippered binder or book bag to each class session.

ICVA Weekend School would like to welcome the parents and childrento another exciting year! The teachers have been preparing very hard tomake your child's time at school not only educational, but enjoyable aswell. We all have to work very hard in order to maximize theproductivity during the few hours a week that we have together.

School will start promptly at 9:45 AM. and continue to 1:25 p.m. Weexpect that all students arrive on time, as late students cause adistraction to classes already in session. Parents are to pick up theirchildren promptly at 1:25. Teachers spend a great deal of time in theclassroom as well as outside of the classroom preparing lessons. Pleasebe courteous and arrive on time.

The teachers will follow a rigorous syllabus and will reportstudents' progress periodically to their parents. In order to maximizethe value of the educational experience, parents will be asked to beinvolved and assist their children with their homework.

NOTE: Parents will be fined $5.00 for each 15minutes that they are late picking up their children

Students will be tested throughout the semester to monitor theirprogress. Homework will be sent home each week and expected to becomplete prior to returning the following week. Students who do notcomplete their homework assignments will complete the assignment whilethe other students are having recess. This year, teachers willperiodically be sending home evaluations of the students. This is tokeep you, as parents, abreast as to the progress of your child, bothacademically and disciplinary. Report cards will be sent home at theend of the semester.

Subjects to be taught will include Arabic, Qur'an, and IslamicStudies. The classes may be integrated depending on the level of thestudents. The students may be split up based on gender, age, andability. Registration fees are collected to pay for administrativecosts such as photocopying materials, instructional supplies andequipment, course development materials, student activities, and aspring carnival to mention just a few. There are snacks and lunch available to parents and students at anominal charge (except during the month of Ramadhan. The proceeds go tothe Center and School.
